Nampo, which has grown into one of the continent's key agriculture gatherings from its humble beginings at Bothaville in the Free State in 1966, will take place in Bredasdorp from 3 to 6 September, with Nedbank Insurance Company set to put a number of key items on the agenda, including transformation success stories, challenges for the Agribusiness Development Agency, government plans to partner with the private sector and issues faced by the local wine industry.
'Nation in Conversation is widely regarded as the 'voice' of the producer and its key partners in the agriculture food chain. These dialogues will see industry leaders, government officials and key role-players debate the future of the agrisector, as well as highlight the sector's importance to the economy. We are honoured to be part of Nampo, which is extending its footprint to the Western Cape and will once again unite several key stakeholders in dialogue through Nation in Conversation,' says John Hudson, the Head of Agriculture at Nedbank.
'Nedbank understands the needs of the agriculture industry and has developed innovative solutions aimed at expanding the operations of the farming sector. Events such as Nation in Conversation highlight the challenges and, through inspiring accounts of farmers, help us find and share robust solutions,' Hudson adds.
